This book made me laugh out loud! Elephant turns to pig to ask him what is on his head. Pig informs him: “There is a bird on your head!” This freaks out elephant, who runs around trying to get rid of the bird. The bad news is that, while the bird flies off…it is only temporary and another comes to join it. Elephant now has two birds on his head and they’re in love. They build a nest and start a family. Elephant can take it no longer. He wants them gone! So pig suggests he politely ask them to move. The bird family agrees, but to pig’s dismay they move in on his head.

Children will love the cute illustrations in this book. The facial expressions of pig and elephant are hilarious. The repeated text will be especially good for new readers. Elephant’s text bubbles are gray (just like him) and pig’s text bubbles are pink (like him.) This makes the dialog clear for younger readers. Kids will beg to hear this one again and again!
